A DAY TRIP INTO THE PAST

A riveting psychological thriller about a long-married couple taking a day trip into the Alps. As they travel upwards by train, bus and foot, the unresolved history of their relationship unravels. Jealousy, betrayal, and accumulated resentment turn an anniversary pilgrimage into a dangerous journey into the past.

Shot entirely on location in the Swiss Alps with a small, highly mobile crew, FALLING will be photographed in 4K Univisium on ARRI cameras with Signature Prime Lenses. The film combines close intimate performances with expansive drone cinematography of the immense Alpine landscape.

Dialogue is extremely sparse; tension builds through performance, silence, natural sound and a restless piano score that is always moving forward and upward, carrying the couple - and the audience - toward the dangerous summit.
