A Clockwork Swiss
Prelude in A major

Written originally as part of The Distempered Clavier, this playful piano miniature travels through all 24 major and minor keys, its shifting mechanisms evoking the winding, ticking gears and jeweled complications of a Swiss watch.

For A Clockwork Swiss, the music becomes the clockwork heart of the film, moving through its miniature world with precision, complexity and wit.

The final score will expand the piano original into a full orchestral work, while preserving its intricate mechanical character.

VIII

T HE  S OUNDTRACK

An original piano prelude
composed expressly for the film,
destined for full orchestra.
