MONDAY MORNING | GEORGES SEURAT | 2021

For Parisians, Sunday was the day to escape the heat of the city and head for the shade of the trees and the cool breezes that came off the river.

What they often found though were hordes of their fellow denizens with the exact same plan!

Unsurprisingly, many have speculated that Georges preferred to paint on Monday at the island of La Grande Jatte.

Peace. Solitude. Nature.

Sunday crowds, or quiet Monday Morning.

Which do you prefer?
